The term "page" is the total word count divided by 250. This is just a way of keeping things fair across the board--it takes the industry standard of Times New Roman, 12 point font, double spaced and puts it at an average of 250 words per page. The method actually keeps things fair for fiction writers, who may have pages of dialogue that are sparse on word count but would still end up paying the same price for the service as someone with, say, a whole page full of a lot of words. :-)
